Sucking the Marrow Out of Life 😊

Perhaps I left my job in a similar manner as Henry David Thoreau when he left civilization to enter the woods and write his book, Walden. He wanted to experience only the essentials of life. He did not want to discover at the end of his life that he had not lived at all.

“I did not wish to live what was not life. Living is so dear. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life. To drive life into a corner and reduce it to its lowest terms.”

Such a sweet and simplistic view of life. I love the raw honesty of his writing. I wish to make my coaching so simple, yet profound. I like to drill it down to the essential elements.

I find that many of my clients tend to complicate life. Food, diet, exercise becomes complicated. Does it have to be so? Life can be simple. Eat when you are hungry. Stop eating when you are full. Let food be fuel for your body.

Live your life fully and derive sensual pleasures from the activities of life. If you fill your life with excitement, opportunity, learning, harmonious relationships, and sound structure; will there not be less room for an emotional void that you struggle to fill with food?🍲 🍱

I love the image of sucking the marrow out a hearty and full life. From what well-spring are you sucking marrow to fill your cup full of the joys of this life?

Let me show you the way.
